His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of Bapco Energies – the integrated energy company leading the energy transition in the Kingdom of Bahrain – chaired the Company’s Board of Directors meeting for the third quarter of the year 2024, during which the Board approved an enhanced strategic direction for Bapco Energies for the upcoming years, aimed at accelerating growth in Bahrain’s energy sector.
This new phase of the strategy seeks to consolidate efforts across Bapco Energies and its subsidiaries, with a focus on expanding Bahrain’s renewable energy portfolio. Central to this vision are projects aligned with the Kingdom’s National Energy Strategy, prioritizing the adoption of advanced technologies to diversify revenue streams while conserving the country’s natural resources.
Bapco Energies’ Group CEO, Mr. Mark Thomas, provided the Board with an in-depth briefing on the Company’s performance, with particular focus on the Bapco Modernization Program (BMP), which is approaching completion. The update also included progress on upstream activities, which remain a cornerstone of the Company’s operational portfolio. Additionally, the Board approved a unified compensation and benefits structure for all employees within Bapco Energies and its subsidiaries, ensuring greater alignment across the group.
